Shannon - designer, creator and founder of Nakota Design, Over the past decade, I have been reconnecting with my Indigenous heritage through a journey of cultural reclamation. Raised in a non-Indigenous environment, I am now actively learning about Métis and Indigenous history, language, and spiritual practices. This process has allowed me to embrace my roots, reclaim my identity, and honour my ancestors. As a Métis person, I am committed to participating in the ongoing cultural revitalization and resistance of my people.
