Indigenous Experiences, after two decades of cultural programming, was inspired by the Ojibwe spirit horses to find a new home where they could expand into land-based cultural and culinary offerings. This vision became Madahoki Farm, a thriving Indigenous cultural agritourism destination located on a beautiful 164-acre property in Ottawa’s Greenbelt.
With the mission of sharing the land, stories, and food from an Indigenous perspective, Madahoki Farm welcomes visitors year-round to enjoy a variety of activities:
Meet the Animals: Say hello to the small farm animals and watch the endangered Ojibwe Spirit Horses graze in the fields.
Explore the Farm: Walk the Legacy Trail where you can leave a message of reconciliation, or explore the grounds with seasonal snowshoe rentals.
Shop Indigenous Art: Browse the marketplace store, which features a wide selection of arts, crafts, and foods from over 40 Indigenous artists and makers.
Family Fun: Kids can enjoy the play area, which includes hay bales for climbing, a teeter-totter, and plenty of space to run around.
Relax and Refresh: Feel free to use the picnic tables to enjoy a snack or packed lunch in this wonderful setting.
The farm is open to the public during operating hours, and while walk-ins are welcome, large groups of 20 or more can arrange a booking.
